Our Vision

Centering ourselves on Jesus while doing whatever it takes for people to experience life-change.

Our Passion Points

Our passion points are seven distinct focuses that define us and that we live by.

1. We dare to be different.

Aloma Church is an authentic group of Christ-followers seeking creative ways to live and share our faith. While we stand firm in what we believe, we embrace change, seeking to break the mold of present day churches. We want to look different tomorrow than we do today: constantly growing, always seeking.

  • Acts 17:16–34
  • Romans 12:1–2
  • John 17:15–18
  • Colossians 4:5
  • John 15:18–16:15

2. We are all about relationships.

The Scripture, God’s love-letter to us, speaks of His desire to have a real connection with His greatest creation…us! We are created for relationships; with God and with others. We are a community of believers that builds and values these relationships.

  • Genesis 1:26–27
  • Genesis 2:18
  • John 14:21
  • 1 John 4:7–11
  • Hebrews 10:24–25

3. We love our community.

Our love for others stems from God’s love for us. The way to demonstrate and prove Christ’s love to people is to show it. So, we go to our community with the sole purpose of sharing the love we have experienced.

  • 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
  • John 13:34–35
  • Romans 12:9–10
  • Acts 1:8
  • Matthew 9:37–38

4. We really believe God changes lives.

God is BIG. He loves us enough to move us from where we are to where we should be. He takes those far from Him and brings them close, and He takes those close to Him and brings them closer.

  • John 3:1-18
  • 1 John 4:15–17
  • 2 Corinthians 4:16
  • Romans 8:1-39
  • Ephesians 3:14–21

5. We are known by what we are for.

We speak the Truth in love over our church. We are a church made up of imperfect people, but we serve a perfect God! So, our voice is used to tell people about the positive message concerning Jesus. We build others up knowing that the hope of Jesus is the only real answer to life’s questions.

  • Acts 2:14–47
  • John 3:17
  • Romans 8:1–4
  • Romans 15:13
  • 1 Peter 1:3–5

6. We give with purpose.

We know that God blesses those who give. Therefore we teach and practice the importance of giving in all areas of life in order to share the Gospel.

  • Acts 20:35
  • Matthew 6:1–4
  • Luke 6:38
  • Luke 18:1–30
  • Malachi 3:10–12

7. We stand together.

One of the greatest marks of Aloma Church is our unity. While we are made up of many different cultures and backgrounds, we have a single heartbeat. We know everything rises and falls on unity, so we guard it intentionally and ferociously. We are unified in our foundation, conviction, vision, and passion.

  • Ephesians 4:1–16
  • 1 Corinthians 1:10
  • 1 Corinthians 12:12–26
  • Colossians 3:1-25
  • Philippians 2:1-3

Our Beliefs

One Trinitarian-God

There is one God: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; who subsist in unity, and also as three separate distinct Persons.

Jesus Christ is God’s Son

He was born of a virgin as both God and man, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of human beings, was buried, arose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will literally return to earth.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the divine helper, assistant, counselor and instructor and His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify the soul.

The Bible

The Bible is God's Holy Word, without error, and is the sole authority for life.

Man’s Need for God

Human beings are the special creations of God, made in His image. They fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and all human beings are sinners in need of salvation.

Salvation is a gift through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. Every person who truly is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven, while those who die in their sins will spend eternity in hell.

Baptism is by immersion after salvation and is done in obedience to Jesus Christ's command.

Believer’s Access to God

Each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Church

The Church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head.
