PASTOR UPDATE Coronavirus – March 13

By March 13, 2020Uncategorized

Church Family,

After much discussion and prayer and given how quickly the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is evolving in our communities, we have made the difficult decision not to meet in person for services this weekend. Out of the abundance of care for the health and safety of our church family, we are taking these preventative measures:

  • This Sunday we will have online Worship Services only.
  • Services will be at 9:30 and 11am.
  • All events and activities (including Midweek classes) are cancelled through Friday, March 27.

Although we will not be meeting as a church family over the next two weeks, we are still worshiping together! This Sunday, I will share a special message on fear and hope in this time of crisis. As believers, let us remain calm and put our trust in our Savior, and let us be ever attentive to share that hope with those who are hurting.

The service on Sunday will be live streamed at 9:30 a.m. and rebroadcast at 11:00 a.m. As always, please keep in mind that we have a safe and convenient way to give online or through the Aloma Church App. Either way is a secure way to remain faithful in your giving.

We will remain vigilant in the coming days and are continually in contact with local and national health officials. Please check our website regularly for any updates. We will also continue to communicate through e-mail, the church app, and social media.

We have a great God who is on the throne and He hears our prayers! Please pray for our church, our community, our nation and the world. Pray for those who have been infected with the Coronavirus, pray for the most vulnerable, pray for the first responders and healthcare workers, and pray for our leaders.

Our heavenly Father waits for us and welcomes us when we are in His presence in prayer.

Blessings,

Wesley Baldwin
